Picture
Genaro began studying music and the violin in his native country, Venezuela, under the auspice of world famous orchestral music program phenomenon "El Sistema".
He completed conservatory studies with honors under the guidance of violin Professor Eugene Weiss.

His orchestral career started at age 15, becoming member of the first violin section of the Carabobo State Symphony Orchestra. Simultaneously, he became a member of The Ibero-American Orchestra, ensemble formed for presidential summits, including the kingdom of Spain, touring with it throughout the Americas. He gave solo recitals in different cities and performed as soloist with symphony orchestras including Valencia Youth Orchestra, Carabobo Symphony Orchestra, and San Carlos Symphony.

In 1999 Genaro decided to enter the world of academia in The United States of America, completing his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, studying the violin with Professor Charles Stegeman and Pittsburgh Symphony violinist Christopher Wu. Subsequently at Duquesne, during his graduate studies and beyond, Genaro had the great honor to study the art of violin performance and its projection in orchestral leadership under the tutelage of world famous Violinist, Conductor, and Pedagogue Sidney Harth, with awards and full scholarships.

He is the Winner of the 2007 Duquesne Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition.
Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate degree at West Virginia University.
