1st Violin

Genaro began studying music and the violin in his native country, Venezuela, under the auspice of world famous orchestral music program phenomenon "El Sistema".
He completed conservatory studies with honors under the guidance of violin Professor Eugene Weiss.
His orchestral career started at age 15, becoming member of the first violin section of the Carabobo State Symphony Orchestra. Simultaneously, he became a member of The Ibero-American Orchestra, ensemble formed for presidential summits, including the kingdom of Spain, touring with it throughout the Americas. He gave solo recitals in different cities and performed as soloist with symphony orchestras including Valencia Youth Orchestra, Carabobo Symphony Orchestra, and San Carlos Symphony.
In 1999 Genaro decided to enter the world of academia in The United States of America, completing his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, studying the violin with Professor Charles Stegeman and Pittsburgh Symphony violinist Christopher Wu. Subsequently at Duquesne, during his graduate studies and beyond, Genaro had the great honor to study the art of violin performance and its projection in orchestral leadership under the tutelage of world famous Violinist, Conductor, and Pedagogue Sidney Harth, with awards and full scholarships.
He is the Winner of the 2007 Duquesne Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition.
Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate degree at West Virginia University.

Genaro has enjoyed a dynamic performance career involving solo recitals, solo concerts with symphony orchestras in the United States of America and abroad.
Highlights include solo recitals at the Endless Mountains Music Festival
in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, Solo recitals and Chamber music concerts at Interharmony Music Festival in the Berkshires, Massachusetts;
soloist with the Interharmony Music Festival Symphony orchestra
in the Netherlands and Germany.
In The United States has been invited to perform for the Northwest and, subsequently, the Northeast college music society conferences’ concerts.
Prior to serving as concertmaster of the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Genaro has lead the Pennsylvania Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, PA, the Duquesne University Symphony Orchestra, the Inter Harmony music Festival Symphony and Chamber orchestras in Europe and at the Berkshires in the US; the West Virginia University Symphony Orchestra, The Fairmont Symphony Orchestra, West Virginia. His orchestral solos have been featured in live broadcasts of W.Q.E.D multimedia classical radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Committed to education, Genaro balances a busy schedule between performances and teaching the youth. Along with his best teammate, wife and violinist Lela Tsinadze, he conducts a private studio in New Jersey, tutoring the violin and the love for music to students from Elementary, middle, and High schools. Simultaneously, in partnership with the Bay Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Genaro imparts string masterclasses to the school districts of Atlantic City and Vineland City in New Jersey, partly inspired in the music program “El Sistema”.
